Gysi setup

At D-DEC we offer an educational and inspiring course on the Gysi setup technique. During this day we will not only delve into the theory behind this unique anatomical concept, but we will also learn how to apply this knowledge in practice.

We start with a solid theoretical basis: the philosophy of Gysi and the techniques for lining the plaster models are discussed in detail. Setting up the front in the correct proportions is also explained. We immediately bring this knowledge to life in practice, where we learn to set up the front step by step.

We will then delve further into the theory of the molar region: how and why we set it up in a specific way. Of course, we will also carry out this practical part ourselves. As the icing on the cake, we will learn how to model gingiva in an aesthetic and anatomically correct way, with special attention to the patient: who are we making it for and what are the required requirements for this?

This inspiring day is part of the 7-day prosthetics course, in which you will learn to master all essential techniques and insights in the field of prosthetics. With these valuable insights and skills, our students go home, ready to put what they have learned into practice right away.
